Promotion for a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language
Every TEFL student must complete every single course with a passing grade to receive a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate.
How will your teachers determine your grades?
At the beginning of each class, each teacher will give you a syllabus--a paper with important information about the class. The syllabus tells you what you will study in the class, what we expect you to learn, the kinds of assignments and tests you will have, and what you need to do to get a good grade. Your teachers all want you to do well in class and will do their best to help you understand the class material, practice it effectively, and do well on quizzes and tests.

If you think there's a mistake in your grade...
If you disagree with the grade you received, you should do this:
- Ask your teacher why you received the grade. (Don't be afraid. It's completely OK to do this. Your teacher won't mind.)
- If you can't reach your teacher, or if you still think there's something wrong, talk to the TEFL Academic Coordinator. We'll check into it. You can use the WHO TO SEE FOR HELP tab on this website.
